Torabhaig Allt Gleann is the second release from the young Torabhaig distillery on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. It is a smoky single malt whisky with a distinct peat influence, reflecting the distinctive spirit of Skye, whilst showcasing a dedication to a traditional, artisanal distillation process.

Tasting Notes

• Nose : Initially smoky, with notes of earthy peat, ash and a hint of seaweed. As it opens up, notes of green fruits such as green apple and pear emerge, plus a subtle hint of vanilla and toasted marshmallow.
• Palate : An intriguing balance of creamy smoke and barley sweetness. Flavors of spicy oak, bright citrus, and a hint of salinity come through, likely influenced by its proximity to the sea. Peat is evident, but well integrated with the malt and fruit notes.
• Finish : Medium to long, with a lingering smoky character, hints of black pepper and a soft underlying sweetness reminiscent of caramel and vanilla.
