The Leaf of Chan "El Rubio" Robusto

When El Chan decided to enter the world of tobacco, he wanted to do it LITERALLY. That's why he wanted to experience the process from seed to leaf harvest, through drying and fermentation to the aging process. This Connecticut blend, called RUBIO due to the yellow color of the wrapper, is the only blend in the El Chan line that has tobacco grown in Puerto Rico . The aging process of this leaf took place in Bacardi rum barrels. The first test was in 2019 and the sweet molasses flavor of the rum was present. The name Rubio was given in honor of Puerto Rico's Team Rubio that was formed for the World Baseball Classic in 2017. That team was a dream and that's why we dedicated this cigar to them.
