The Las Compuertas Malbec 2021 Project , created by Héctor and Pablo Durigutti, is a Mendoza gem that combines tradition and innovation. Made exclusively with grapes from Finca Victoria , located in Las Compuertas, Luján de Cuyo, this wine comes from historic vineyards planted in 1914 and cultivated organically.
Preparation and Aging:
This Malbec is harvested manually in small boxes and vinified in concrete eggs without epoxy, using native yeasts. The malolactic fermentation and the first 6 months of aging take place in fourth-use oak foudres, followed by an additional 13 months in concrete. Production is limited to just 2,190 bottles , guaranteeing exclusivity and quality.
Tasting Notes:
With a complex and refreshing character, this Malbec reveals layers of blackberry, black plum and apricot , accompanied by a well-defined structure and excellent aging potential. It is a balanced wine, with vibrant acidity and elegant tannins, perfect for those looking for an authentic expression of the Mendoza terroir.
