Fuente Fuente OpusX The Lost City cigars are crafted in ultra-small batches, with only 500 boxes made per year. The tobacco used for this line is grown at the world renowned “Chateau de la Fuente” in the Dominican Republic. What makes these cigars unique is the use of a sun-grown Dominican wrapper from a single vintage harvest. Prior to 1990, the Dominican Republic was well known for its filler and binder tobacco, but growing wrapper tobacco on the island was impossible due to the topography and winds. A determined Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr. made it his mission to be the first cigar maker in the Dominican Republic to successfully grow wrapper tobacco. Using cheesecloth to protect the tobacco produced the first successful harvest in 1992. Lost City is a spicy, full-bodied smoke with earthy undertones from start to finish. The Fuentes are masters of the art of blending; Each Lost City is perfectly blended and balanced, as each burns and tastes the same from one cigar to the next.
